CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Montague’s Morgan Campbell finished up his first prospect showcase this past week with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League as part of their Strength and Conditioning Team.

Campbell was named as the Charlotte Checkers Head of Strength & Conditioning earlier this month. The Checkers, American Hockey League affiliate of the Florida Panthers, finished 5th overall in the league’s standings and 1st in their division last season. Winners of the AHL’s Calder Cup in the 2018-2019 season, Campbell is joining a successful organization coming from his role as High-performance strength and conditioning coach with Cape Breton University.

A strong resume in training some of the top athletes in the region, including some of Atlantic Canada’s top hockey players, makes this role a perfect fit for Campbell.

He has had the opportunity to train the likes of Noah Dobson, Ryan Graves, Ross Johnston, Jordan Spence, Jeremy McKenna and Sarah MacEachern to name a few, through his previous experience as High-Performance Director with Synergy Fitness in Charlottetown.

The American Hockey League kicks off its 2022-23 regular season schedule on October 14th as Charlotte hosts Hartford on home ice.
