CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The Hockey PEI Board of Directors passed a motion at its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, June 7th to adopt a new zoning structure along with player movement rules for Prince Edward Island based Major Under-18 franchises and its players for the upcoming 2022-23 playing season.

The changes come following an extensive review of the level’s current structure and operating systems which was completed by a task team composed of members with hockey experience and positions ranging from Minor Hockey to the National Hockey League level before ultimately being reviewed and voted on by the Board of Directors.
