CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – With the current COVID-19 outbreak in the central part of PEI and the fact that the “AAA” Hockey Tryout selection process has started or is about to begin, Hockey PEI has decided to delay the start of all AAA leagues that normally begin in mid-October by one week.

This delay will allow players currently isolating for 14-days the opportunity to have a fair tryout process and provide coaches the time required to make final selections.

Teams that require additional lead time are asked to contact their league coordinator directly.

Note: The PEI Major U15 “AAA” League and NB/PEI Major U18 League are excluded from the delay as their current selection process is near completion.
