CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Hockey PEI made the announcement of introducing Major U18 Female hockey to Prince Edward Island on Tuesday, joining its friends across the bridge in Hockey New Brunswick and Hockey Nova Scotia to allow for more opportunity for female players aspiring for the next level from the Island.

Due to the overwhelming number of inquiries and positive feedback from the announcement, leaders for the two Island franchises are being announced today:

Mike Lutley will lead the Charlottetown/East franchise with support from the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Eric Morency will lead the Summerside/West franchise with support from the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Hockey League.

Those interested in getting involved with either franchise can contact the respective General Manager below:

Team name, training camp info and more will be announced by the two respective franchises in the coming days.
