CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Hockey PEI is proud to announce the respective hosts for the two Atlantic Hockey Championships being held on Prince Edward Island later this spring. 

The U18 Female AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship will take place at the Cavendish Farms Community Events Centre in Tyne Valley, PEI from April 21st to 24th, 2022. This will be the first major event taking place in the Event Centre with volunteers excited to welcome all teams. The Western Wind U18 AAA Female team will act as the host team for this Championship.

The volunteers and local host committee are excited to put on a great tournament and welcome all players and their families to the community. The U13 AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship will take place at Credit Union Place in Summerside, PEI from May 5th to 8th, 2022. Credit Union Place and Summerside Area Minor Hockey Association are no strangers to event hosting and will look to create a memorable experience for all. The U13 AAA Summerside Capitals will act as the host team for this championship.

These events will see the top players in their respective age categories from Atlantic Canada compete for the chance to hoist the Atlantic Hockey Championship trophy. In addition to the excitement building for participants, the Championships will also see positive impacts within the communities as local restaurants, hotels and stores feel the benefits of the economic impacts these types of events can have.
