CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Hockey PEI is pleased to welcome Liam Macdonald, a grade 12 student from the Charlottetown Rural High School to its team for the remainder of the school year. The Stratford, PEI native joins the office staff as part of the High School’s Co-operative education program. 


Macdonald who is a forward for the North River U18 “A” Team #3 enjoys sports and submitted an interest to his Co-op teacher, Mrs. Dixon that placement in Hockey would be a perfect fit. The 18-year-old was excited to learn that Hockey PEI was more than happy to have Liam join the organization to further expand his knowledge and education in the working life and the sport of hockey. 


When not at the rink, Liam can be found taking part in sports such as Judo, Karate, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and more! Liam’s favourite subject in school is Science, and his favourite NHL team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. 


Macdonald lives with his parents Jason and Christa along with his younger brother Lucas. After the completion of High School, Liam aims to attend Holland College and work towards pursuing a career in Physiotherapy / Athletic Trainer keeping within the Sporting circle. 


The entire Hockey PEI family is excited to have Liam assisting with day-to-day operational tasks and teaching him on all departments of a Provincial Sport Organization.
