Event takes place April 6-9, 2017

Hockey PEI has announced that the Mid Isle Matrix has been selected as the host for the 2017 Bantam AAA Atlantic Championships.   The Matrix will host the event at the APM Centre in Cornwall, from April 6-9, 2017.

The championship will crown the top Bantam AAA team from the region.  Teams will include Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, a provincial representative from PEI and the host team Mid Isle Matrix.

The Mid Isle Matrix were successful in their bid attempt, as they were selected by a selection committee comprised of members of Hockey PEI Minor Council whom reviewed the bid applications and made the selection for the championships.

“On behalf of the Mid-Isle Matrix Bantam AAA team and the host organizing committee, we are honoured and excited to be able to host the Bantam AAA Atlantic Hockey Championships at the APM Centre in April 2017.  Mid-Isle Matrix is looking forward to competing with the top teams from their respective leagues in Atlantic Canada”, stated Shawn Arbing representing the host bid committee.

“We are also look forward to working with Hockey PEI, the town of Cornwall and our major sponsors, the Delta Prince Edward and Source for Sports to put on a high quality event for everyone to enjoy”.
