OFFICIALS SELECTED FOR 2022 ATLANTIC CHALLENGE CUP

Hockey PEI has announced eight (8) officials who have been selected to work this year’s Atlantic Challenge Cup (ACC) in Moncton, New Brunswick from October 7th to 10th.

The officials were selected following the evaluations / supervisions of their last season along with their performance at the 2022 High Performance Program Spring Development Camp and the Summer Selection camp.

Referee’s Kalib Snow (Summerside) and Daniel Collins (Pleasant Grove) alongside Linesman Jack MacKinnon (Charlottetown) and Michael Kiley (Stratford) will work the U14 and U15 male divisions.

On the female side, Referee’s Ellen Dixon (Sherwood) and Jennifer Stewart (Crapaud) along with Linesman Karli Snow (Summerside) and Bailey Carr (Charlottetown) will be working the U16 and U18 divisions. These female officials will also be taking part in Hockey Canada’s Regional Officials Program of Excellence (OPOE) camp being run in conjunction with the ACC event. Hockey Canada’s Manager of Officiating, Dan Hanoomansingh will be in attendance.

Annually, the four Atlantic branches send their top prospective officials to work the event while having the opportunity to officiate with the other branch officials and be supervised / mentored by officiating leaders across the Atlantic region.

“After the ACC not being held the last two years due to COVID-19, we are extremely excited to be able to have these 8 prospect officials represent Hockey PEI at this regional event. As in past years, Hockey PEI officials have always performed well in regional tournaments and we look forward to the development they will receive from this experience.” – Hockey PEI Manager of Officiating, Steven Green.

Hockey PEI would like to wish the best of luck to all officials attending this year’s event and thank all officials who attended their 2021-22 High Performance camps.
