CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - The Hockey PEI Board of Directors announced today that Tami Lewis has taken over the role of Hockey PEI Executive Director, effective immediately following the departure of Connor Cameron who has accepted the position of Maritime Hockey League (MHL) President.
Cameron departs the role after spending 3-years as Executive Director with his promotion to the role in 2020 after originally being hired to the organization as Technical Director in January of 2019.
Tami Lewis, the incoming Executive Director is no stranger to Hockey PEI. A graduate in Business Administration, Lewis first joined Hockey PEI in September of 1998 serving in Administration and Finance Roles throughout 21 years with the organization. She left in 2019 to pursue other opportunities and recently returned to the organization this past June as Coordinator of Membership Services. Stepping into the organizations lead role is expected to be a seamless transition with her vast knowledge of the organization’s workings and governance models.
We are pleased to have Tami accept this role and look forward to having her experience make this transition have little to no effect on membership with hockey season having started said Alan MacIsaac, President of Hockey PEI. To have someone with her skill set and knowledge of our organization able to step into this role is comforting for us and we look forward to working with her again!
Tami being a hockey Mom herself, has managed youth sport teams over many years whether it be Hockey or Baseball. She lives in Brackley Beach with her husband Wade and two sons, Matthew and Brandon.

Hockey PEI’s Board of Directors wishes to thank Connor Cameron for all of his work, commitment and passion during his time at Hockey PEI including the difficult operational years of COVID-19, his development of our programs and the advancement of the organization and wishes him all the best in his new role with the MHL. It welcomes Tami to the new role and wishes her great success.
