SUMMERSIDE, PE – Championship Sunday has come to a close, and with that the 2022 U13 AAA Atlantic Championship was crowned. Hockey PEI would like to make a note of gratitude and congratulations to all involved with this event.

Firstly, Congratulations to the NFLD Tri Com Thunder (GOLD MEDALISTS), the NB Moncton Beavers (SILVER MEDALISTS) and to the NS Pictou County Crushers (BRONZE MEDALISTS)! These teams played hard all week long and deserve recognition on their respective seasons. Good tournament also to the Hosts, Summerside Capitals and the Hockey PEI rep, Mid Isle Matrix, these teams played with a lot of heart all week long.

“A huge thank you goes to the Host Committee, led by Chairman Doug Dexter, and his team. This group took on this event just 7-8 short weeks ago and blew it out of the park. Great job and hats off to this crew for their fantastic hosting efforts. We certainly appreciate their dedication to this event and showcasing our branch proudly”

  • Tanner Doiron, Event Manager, U13 AAA Atlantic Championship

Hockey PEI would also like to thank its newest facility partners, the City of Summerside, and the Credit Union Place Team. From the Event staff, Customer Service Reps, Icemakers / Maintenance, etc., this group allowed Hockey PEI to run the event as smoothly as possible and ensured accommodations were made to make the organization and host committee feel as comfortable as possible throughout the week.

Finally, Hockey PEI truly hopes all participants enjoyed their time on PEI and visiting the City of Summerside and the state-of-the-art facility they have to offer.
