Hockey PEI Communications | Dec 9th, 2021

As we approach the mid-season mark and experience some rise in COVID-19 cases here on Prince Edward Island, Hockey PEI would like to remind its membership of the importance around following Public Health measures.

We understand that membership and facilities alike are fatigued of the wavering COVID-19 pandemic, however, the need to stay vigilant now more than ever is of the utmost importance.

Our organization strives to do its part in minimizing the risk of not only COVID-19 transmission, but also any halt to our scheduled programming. In order to do so, we must remember to act attentively to the following:

  • Always wear your mask when required.
  • Continue to practice good hand hygiene frequently.
  • Work with your facility on the continued requirement of Vax Pass enforcement.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay home.

If our members become involved with a case of COVID-19 or possible exposure and are required to get tested, please follow those CPHO requirements. Proof of negative tests will not be required by local MHA’s due to privacy reasons. However, if members are going against anything outlined under the Public Health act, the Chief Public Health Office will follow up with the appropriate enforcement and fines.

Hockey PEI appreciates its memberships cooperation and attention on these matters.
