CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – National Hockey League Rookie / Prospects Camps are well underway with some finishing up across the league for the 2019 season. Prince Edward Island had six individuals who took part in a camp this year, some of whom were never drafted.

Out of the six attendees only two players were drafted, while the other four members are camp invitees.

Here is a look at which Islanders who attended NHL Rookie/Prospects camps this season:

Jeremy McKenna – Calgary Flames – Camp Invitee. Hometown: Summerside, PEI

Jordan Spence – LA Kings – Drafted, 2019 – 95th Overall. Hometown: Cornwall, PEI

Kameron Kielly – Carolina Hurricanes – Camp Invitee. Hometown: Charlottetown, PEI

Noah Dobson РNew York Islanders РDrafted, 2018 Р12th Overall.  Hometown: Summerside, PEI

Thomas Casey – Detroit Red Wings – Camp Invitee. Hometown: Charlottetown, PEI

Zack MacEwen – Vancouver Canucks – Camp Invitee. Hometown: Charlottetown, PEI

These players will look to make the jobs of NHL scouting staff and General Managers tough in the next couple of days with the hopes of cracking the main training camp rosters. If they are fortunate enough, the players above could join the likes of fellow Islanders: Alex Gallant, Josh Currie, Ross Johnston and Ryan MacKinnon at Main Camps.

Following Rookie/Prospect completion we will release another update in regard to cuts and Main Training Camp Roster announcements.

Hockey PEI would like to wish all of its six attendees the best of luck!
