Event takes place April 6-9 in Cornwall

After a long season and a lot of preparation, the stage is set for the 2017 Major Bantam AAA Atlantic Hockey Championships.  The Mid Isle Matrix will play host to the region at the APM Centre (Cornwall) from April 6 -9, 2017.  The championship will crown the top Major Bantam AAA team from Atlantic Canada.

Joining the host team Mid Isle Matrix representing PEI is the Eastern Express who defeated Prince County Warriors in four games to capture the PEI Major Bantam AAA Provincial Title.

The following teams will represent their respective branches:

  • Fredericton Blues (Hockey NB)
  • ACA Rangers (Hockey NS)
  • Tricom Thunder (Hockey NL)
  • Eastern Express (Hockey PEI)
  • Mid Isle Matrix (Host)

Beginning on Thursday, there will be 10 round robin games, followed by a Bronze medal game and the Championship game on Sunday April 9th at 1:30 pm.  The official opening ceremonies will be Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Thursday, April 6th                 
1:00 pm          PEI vs NB
4:00 pm          NS vs NL
8:00 pm          NB vs Host

Friday, April 7th 
10:00 am        NL vs PEI
1:00 pm          Host vs NS
4:00 pm          NL vs NB
7:00 pm          PEI vs Host

Saturday, April 8th
9:00 am          NB vs NS
12:00 pm        Host vs NL
3:00 pm          NS vs PEI

Sunday, April 9
10:00 am        Bronze Medal Game
1:30 pm          Gold Medal Game
