HOCKEY PEI MEMORANDUM
TO: HOCKEY PEI MEMBERSHIP
FROM: PRESIDENT
DATE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 15TH, 2021
SUBJECT: UPDATE ON TEAM PHOTO BAN
Good afternoon,
On November 6th of 2020, Hockey PEI suspended all Team Photo Activity until further notice. As stated to Minor Hockey Associations following the release of the memorandum, the ban was put in place temporarily and was to be reviewed by the Hockey PEI Board of Directors in the new year (2021) as the COVID-19 situation evolved.
Effective today, Friday, January 15th, 2021, Hockey PEI is lifting the ban on Team Photo Activity, allowing those who wish to proceed with the taking of team-related photos. This includes, but is not limited to Team photos, individual photos, action shots, and goodwill initiative/community involvement photos. Specifically, to Team Photos “The Group” must adhere to the following CPHO guideline at all times while on the ice:
- If team photos cannot be done with physical distancing (6-feet) then masks must be worn for the entire duration of the team photo process. No exceptions.
All other Team Photo Activity must be done with respect to Public Health guidelines whether it be inside a facility or out in the community.
Finally, all photographers that are selected by teams/associations to be involved with Team Photo Activity are to be counted within cohort numbers while inside facilities and are to be contact traced.
We appreciate your cooperation and attention to this matter.
Regards,
Mike Hammill
